Parvez Elahi has challenged the de-notification move in the Lahore High Court.


Chief Minister Punjab Pervez Elahi has challenged Governor Punjab's de-notification move in the Lahore High Court, and an application has been filed on behalf of Pervez Elahi.

Pervaiz Elahi has submitted a position in his petition that the Governor did not write a letter to the Chief Minister to take the vote of confidence, the letter was written to the Speaker of the Assembly, whereas the Chief Minister should have written it.

It has been argued in the petition that the governor cannot call another meeting during one session, the governor has no power to unconstitutionally de-notify the chief minister.

Pervez Elahi has requested the court in the petition that the court declares the notification of de-notification of the Governor of Punjab null and void.
